We have had several enquiries about Flu and COVID vaccines. This is run by the health board.

These are administered by the vaccination service who can be contacted on 01698687456 / 0800 0308 013.

As your GPs we do not "decide" who qualifies for vaccines. The health board will determine qualification based on age and risk factors which may include health conditions, recorded as part of your medical record.

If you are called for a vaccine, we recommend you attend as you have been identified in the above way".

In Scotland, the rollout of flu and COVID vaccines is based on guidelines from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and prioritizes certain groups due to risk factors, limited supplies, and healthcare resource planning.
