    ParkRun for Health

Stepps Surgery is proud to be a Parkrun-supporting practice. Parkruns are free, weekly, timed 5km runs (or walks, jogs etc). They are held at 09:30 each Saturday morning. The nearest local Parkrun is Springburn Park, but other local Parkruns are held each week at Tollcross Park and Drumpelier Country Park. You can also choose to collect or "bag" Parkruns. It is a great way to start a weekend break away. If the prospect of a 5km seems off putting, you can build up to this using the NHS Couch to 5K podcast series. This works like a personal trainer in your ear as you build up fitness and stamina over nine weeks. By the end of this time you will have no difficulties at all keeping up at your chosen Parkrun.
